MSNswitch is designed to automatically power-cycle any device when Internet connectivity is lost. This is useful if your router's Internet connection drops. MSNswitch can automatically power-cycle the router for you, without anyone having to visit the remote location. MSNswitch will automatically ping up to five different preset targets (which can be changed) and if they are unreachable, MSNswitch will power-cycle one or both power outlets.

You still have full manual control of the power outlets via any web-enabled device or you can use the MSNswitch as a web-enabled time switch, selecting up to 20 On/Off schedules.

The primary feature of the unit is very simple: it monitors an internet connection and power-cycles the connected devices if the internet connection goes down. This simple feature alone can be very useful if your mobile broadband or cable/DSL connection drops, and all you need to do is reset the router to re-gain connectivity - this will automatically reset the router for you, without anyone having to visit the location and manually cycle power. - See more at: http://3gstore.com/product/4186_single_outlet_remote_power_switch.html#sthash.sOWFIn1R.dpuf
