The MOD-8AI has 8 analogue inputs that can accept both volts and 4-20mA current loop inputs. The units also has 2 transistor outputs that can be activated when analogue inputs exceed alarm thresholds. Communication is via MODBUS RTU or MODBUS ASCII. The baud rate is configurable from 2400 to 115200.

The module is designed for mounting on a DIN rail in accordance with DIN EN 5002. The module is equipped with a set of LEDs used to indicate the status of inputs and outputs useful for diagnostic purposes and helping to find errors.

Module configuration is done via USB by using a dedicated free Modbus Configurator software. You can also change the parameters using the MODBUS protocol.

The Slim series modules can be easily connected with each other via a ribbon cable. Just connect the power and RS485 to the first module and ribbon cable connect the remaining modules to form a compact IO station without the wiring costs.
