Third Party Software

A major advantage of the HandyScope measuring instruments is the ability to work with third party software tools. Instead of the normal software package delivered with the measuring equipment, you can now use your favourite measuring environment to acquire the data you want. This allows for a very flexible measuring setup, which is virtually unlimited in possibilities. Total integration can be achieved in, for example, Mathworks' Matlab and LabVIEW. Processing your measured data has never been easier!

In addition, it's even possible to write your own software for the HandiScope equipment. Total control over your measurements is within reach!

The third party support is made possible through the use of a Windows Dynamic Link Library (DLL) file. Whether you're using LabVIEW, Matlab or Visual Studio to develop your own measuring tools, the DLL that belongs to a specific measuring instrument is the interface between your application and the measuring instrument. Some of the third party tools are able to import functions from the DLL direct, like LabVIEW. However, most tools need a header file or an equivalent file to know which functions to import from the DLL. These files are all included with the DLL and can be found in the download section.
