S7841 Digital Event Data Logger

Description

 

The S7841 is a 4-channel digital event recorder which can record the date and time when any of it's 4 inputs changes state. The inputs can be volt-free contacts, such as door contacts, machine switches, or it can be a voltage signal. Data can then be downloaded to a PC for storage and analysis. A LCD display shows the current sate of the logger.

Like all loggers in the S-series, the S7841 can be used with a RS232, USB or Ethernet connection, and comes with free software.

  • Volt-free contact or 2-state voltage signal inputs (low = 0 to 2 volts, high = 4.5 to +30 DC)
  • inputs are mutually galvanically isolated
  • memory capacity - 16254 input signal changes
  • ignores transient inputs <500mS
  • integrated calendar including leap years, better than 17 s in 24 h error
  • LCD display showing input state
  • Internal 3.6V battery with typical 4 year life (can be replaced)

    • pre-programmed date and time

Included accessories

 

Removeable connector terminal and the battery are included. No other accessories are included. For basic use it is necessary to order at minimum a COM adapter or USB adapter or LAN adapter for communication with computer.

It is possible to download the free included Windows Program for data logger. The program allows control of all logger functions and viewing and printing of recorded data in numerical and simple graphic format. It is possible to export recorded values to dbf or txt formats for further analysis in spreadsheets like Excel.
