Input Sampling

The RedLab 1208LS is a USB 2.0 full-speed device supported under popular Microsoft® Windows® operating systems. It is designed for USB 1.1 ports, and was tested for full compatibility with both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 ports.

Providing 8 single-ended or 4 differential analogue inputs with 12-bit resolution, the RedLab 1208LS offers sample rates up to 1.2 kilosamples/sec (8 ks/s for up to 4000 samples). The 8 software selectable input ranges are ideally suited for a wide assortment of measurements. In addition to the analogue inputs, the unit provides 2 channels of 10-bit analogue output, one 32-bit counter and 16 bits of digital I/O. The RedLab 1208LS is powered by the +5 volt USB supply from your computer. No external power is required.

A 32-bit counter can count TTL pulses. The counter increments when the TTL levels transition from low to high (rising-edge).

A SYNC (synchronization) input / output line lets you pace the analogue input acquisition of one USB module from the clock output of another.
