Poseidon
2251 Temp/Humidity Logger
|
|
Description |
|
|
|
The
Poseidon model 2251 is an industrial grade Ethernet based
stand-alone device which can send an email alarm when monitored
temperature or humidity sensors exceed their defined range. The 2251
can also record data values in internal memory for download at a
later date. Up to 42 sensors can be connected, and these can be up to
1km away from the unit. The Poseidon 2251 also has 3 dry-contact
inputs which can also be used to generate alarms. Sensor monitoring
and configuration is available via a web-based graphic interface or
data can be viewed via several network protocols such as SNMP, XML,
and Modbus/TCP.

Description |
|
|
The
Poseidon 2251 is a
simple Ethernet based stand-alone device which can send an email
alarm when up to 42 monitored temperature or humidity sensors exceed
their defined range. These sensors are connected on 2 seperate buses:
up to 10 1-wire sensors can be located up to 10m from the unit, and
up to 32 industrial sensors can be connected via a RS485 network.
These can be located up to 1km from the 2251.
The
Poseidon model 2251 logs periodically values from connected sensors
into internal Flash memory. It is possible to import the saved values
into database or as a Excel file at a later date. Logging continues
even when the device is not connected to a LAN.
The
1250 also has 3 contact-closure inputs which can be used to trigger
alarms on state change.
Once
the Poseidon 2251
is connected to the Ethernet, you can run the free UDP setup
utility, which will serch the LAN to find all attached devices. You
can then specify your desired Network address parameters. Once this
is done, you can simply acces the I/O data from a web browser. There
is also a flash-based version.
You
can assign a name to each sensor and also define high and low alarm
limits. When the parameter goes outside these limits, the Poseidon
2251 can send user defined email alarm messages.

|

All
sensor's values as well as alarm status information are available
from XML files (temper.xml) and any application can log it from XML
tags. The Poseidon 2251 also supports the Modbus TCP protocol, so it
is easy to integrate with common SCADA packages such as DAQFactory

nmsDashboard
nmsDashboard
utilises standard TCP/IP and application protocols to query and
monitor network devices and their associated services. nmsDashboard
is designed to provide the user with a simple yet powerful mechanism
through which they can observe the activity on and respond to alarms
raised from their network 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Free
3-sensor verson supplied with the Poseidon 3265. |

|
|
CapTemp
Simple
to use Data Logging and Alarm software package for use with all
Poseidon units. Sensor information can be desplayed in both numeric
and graphical formats. Data from several Poseidon units can be logged
to a single Excel-compatible data file. |

|
|
DAQFactory
Control
and monitoring software DAQFactory
can be used with the Poseidon 3265 with version that have the
connectivity pack. Uses the Modbus TCP protocol. DAQFactory can be
used to create an opertor interface, with plant mimics, chart
recorders, provide automatic control, PID loops, alarms and
datalogging and reporting functions.
