Description

The PDS6062 is a full-featured 40Mhz or 60MHz two-channel bench-top oscilloscope with 8bit resolution, perfect for any Engineer’s or Technicians desk. With a large 7.8" 640 x 480 color LCD, the PDS6062 is small enough and light enough to carry anywhere. With a buffer size of 6K samples, PDS6062 sampling range is 250MSPS with synchronous 8-bit sampling on both channels. Sensitivity range is 5mV/div~5V/div. The USB connection makes printing stored results easy.

The PDS6062 can automatically measure and display frequency and peak-peak/ rms/mean values, and cursors can be moved to make individual readings. A built-in self-calibration facility improves measurement accuracy. Video monitoring is also possible with triggering on NTSC/PAL/SECAM line or field waveforms.

The PDS6062 can store up to 4 waveforms for comparison with live inputs. A persistence control is available too which simulates old analogue scopes, to compare slow-moving waveforms with previous scans. X-Y display allows you to see phase changes. A+B and A-B maths capability is also included.

Accessories provided with the PDS6062 include two x1/x10 passive oscilloscope probes, CD manual, PC download software, mains power cable and a USB cable.

Display Modes

  • Normal - operates like a normal DSO with simple manual control of timebase, triggering etc

  • XY Mode - With the XY mode selected, CH1 is displayed on the horizontal axis and CH2 is on the vertical axis; when the oscilloscope is under the sampling mode in which no trigger is found, the data appears as light spots.
  • Auto-set - The Auto-Set feature lets the Oscilloscope display and measure unknown signals automatically. This function optimizes the position, range, timebase and triggering and assures a stable display of virtually any waveform.
  • Average Display - the displayed waveform is an average of a preset number of waveform samples. This can eleiminate noise which can otherwise obscure readings
  • Persistence mode - in this mode, the screen is not cleared in-between displaying a new waveform sample. Useful for detecting spurious waveform events which would otherwise be missed.
  • Automatic Measurements - The oscilloscope can perform 5 types automatic measurements such as frequency, cycle, average value, peak-to-peak value and root mean square value. And gives two kinds of measurement results simultaneously on the screen.
  • MATHS functions - shows the result of adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing calculation on CH1 and CH2 channel waveforms

Triggering

There are two triggering modes including Edge triggering and Video triggering.

  • Edge triggering: The Edge triggering is a mode by which trigger occurs at the triggering threshold value of the input signal edge. With the Edge triggering selected, the trigger happens on the rise or fall edge of the input signal

  • Video triggering: With Video triggering selected, the oscilloscope performs the NTSC, PAL or SECAM standard video signals field or line trigger

Other Features

  • Waveform Storage - up to 4 waveforms can be saved in the PDS6062S's internal memory for comparison display or upload to a PC

  • Data Upload to a PC - Stored Data can be uploaded to a PC via RS232 or USB in bitmap or ASCII format.
