The PT32 GSM is a room programmer / thermostat that receives text messages, just like a mobile phone, which it uses to control your heating. It acts just like a standard programmer / timer, with programmed on/off times and temperatures that you can change manually, but it can also receive text messages from your phone to switch between auto and manual modes, to switch the heating on and off and to remotely set the required room temperature.

The PT32 GSM needs to be hard wired to your heating system and in most cases is a direct replacement for your existing programmer or thermostat.

The PT32 GSM requires a mobile phone SIM card, which can be obtained from your preferred mobile phone operator such as O2, Orange, Vodafone etc. All offer free pay-as-you-go SIM cards and these are ideal. The SIM card will come with its own phone number - this is the number you send the control texts to.

The PT32 GST has a single control relay contact in common with most programmers or thermostats, that closes when heating is demanded and opens when not. In most cases, the PT32 GST can be swapped with the existing programmer/timer without issue.

If your heating system does not have an external programmer thermostat please refer to your boiler manual; most boilers will have a suitable connection however.

The PT32 GST is powered by the 5V mains adaptor (included) and so a mains socket will also be required. For more information please refer to the user manual.
