The
eDAM-9051 is a high-density I/O module built-in a 10/100 based-T
interface for seamless Ethernet connectivity. It provides 12 digital
input and 2 digital output channels with 5000VRMS Isolating
protection. There are also 2 high speed 10kHz pulse counter channels.
All of the Digital Input channels support input latch function for
important signal handling. The digital input channels can also be
used as 1 KHz pulse counters. The Digital Output channels also
support a programmable pulse output function.
The
eDAM-9051 connects to standard 10/100 LAN via a RJ45 connector and
supports the popular Modus/TCP protocol for easy integration with
most SCADA systems such as DAQFactory.
Also features built-in web server for simple monitoring and control.
EDAM
Ethernet I/O Utility Overview
The
Utility software offers a graphical interface that helps you
configure the EDAM-9000 modules. It is also very convenient to test
and monitor your remote DAQ system.

Module
IP - shows all detected devices on the Network. Using this TAB,
it is possible to select a device, and configure IP address etc.
Stream/Event
IP - In addition to TCP/IP communication protocol, EDAM-9000
supports UDP communication protocol to regularly broadcast data to
specific host PCs. Click the tab of Data Stream, then configure the
broadcasting interval and the specific IP addresses which need to
receive data from the specific EDAM-9000 I/O module. This UDP Data
Stream function broadcasts up to 8 host PCs simultaneously, and the
interval is user-defined from 50ms to 7 Days.
Test
- Used to view the input status and set outputs.

Input
Settings - Used to select the input mode;
-
Direct
input
- Counter
- set to a pulse counter with a 1kHz max pulse count rate
- Frequency
- set to count pulses but set to report back as a frequency
- Low
to high and high to low ltach

Output
Settings - used to specify output type;
-
Direct
Output
- Pulse
Output - the user can set the low and high periods (in ms), the
frequency and the number of output pulses
- Low
to high and hih to low latches

Built-in
Webserver
The
eDAM-9000 I/O modules all feature a built-in web server. A remote
computer can monitor and control I/O status on any eDAM-9000 modules
remotely through web browser by simply entering the eDAM-9000 IP
address is the browser bar.
