DataLab
IO is a new generation of USB Based industrial input/output devices
with a innovative modular construction. You start with either a 1
slot or 4 slot USB case into which can be fitted various I/O modules.
Available modules include 8 analogue inputs with 16-bit resolution,
analogue output with 12-bit digitization and the set of digital I/O modules.
It
is also possible to use less than 4 slots in the device, if the
application requires less I/O points than one unit provides. It is of
course possible to attach multiple I/O devices to one computer when
more than 32 I/O points are necessary. If the number of free USB
ports of the particular PC is less than required, it is possible to
expand the number of ports with USB hubs.
DataLab
IO/USB units communicate with the host PC through the fast Universal
Serial Bus (USB). Supplied with an ActiveX and software examples
An
OPC server is now available to
allow DatalabIO to be used with your favorite SCADA Package.

OPC
Server |
|
OPC
(OLE for Process Control) is a communication standard based on
OLE/COM technology which forms a means of exchanging information
between MS Windows applications.
It
offers greater interoperability between the control / command /
supervision applications, the industrial equipment (PLCs, sensors,
actuators) and the office management applications. OPC defines
standard objects, methods and properties built on the COM (Component
Object Model) concept to allow real time data servers like DCS, PLCs
and field equipment to communicate their data to OPC clients.
Nearly
all Common SCADA software packages including our DAQFactory
application support OPC, and with the DatalabIO OPC server, you will
be able to communicate with the DatalabIO range.
