Description

The AVR104 is an embedded microcontroller board based on ATMEGA128 AVR microcontroller family. It is low cost and flexible, making it ideal as an embedded controller.

The board has 4 ports (34 I/O lines), a mini buzzer, reset switch and two RS232 ports. It also has a serial 4kB serial EEPROM, 32k SRAM and a real time clock DS1307 with 3-volt lithium battery. The board has a LCD connector for common character LCD modules, together with with contrast pot, power supply and current limit resister for LCD backlight.

All ports on the board are connected to IDC connectors. There is also a PC104-style expansion connector. PC104 boards may be stacked on top of the AVR104. (Note - not all PC104 boards may be compatible as there are some bus pins that are not supported - please check the user manual)

The PCB is a two-layer design intended for demanding industrial applications.

The board provides a standard 10-pin In System Programmer header for connection to a ISPAVR programmer. Compatible with the Atmel AVR Studio Assembler and the BASCOM Basic Complier
